Refurbishment of St. Teresa’s Hospital St. Teresa’s Hospital is a private hospital in Hong Kong. It is located at 327 Prince Edward Road West, in the Kowloon City District of Kowloon. The hospital is a complex comprising of 4 inter-connecting buildings. The refurbishment started in 1999 involves total planning and renovation of its three older wings, namely the North, South and East Wings, to accommodate general wards of 365 beds, general and specialist out-patient departments, staff quarters, administration offices and ancillary hospital services. The entire building envelop is replaced. A new glazed roof was built to cover the existing courtyard enclosed by the three wings which was then turned to a main concourse in the hospital. In addition, a new link bridge and lift tower are constructed to enhance accessibility within the complex. In 1999 Caltite system has been used in the Lift Pits at basement level and the Water Tanks for reliable and maintenance-free waterproofing.
