CALGROUT No. 3
Non-shrink grout additive designed specifically for assisting penetration of Portland cement grout into the finest possible fissures and crevices. Initial setting shrinkage and volume change is offset by an expanding agent. An aluminium based non-shrink ADDITIVE for cement.
FUNCTION: |
CALGROUT No. 3 is an aluminium based non-shrink ADDITIVE for sand / cement grout mixes with strengths up to 40Mpa. CALGROUT No. 3 functions by combined dispersion and surfactant effects, together with a shrinkage compensating compound which generates minute quantities of gas under pressure, during the first few hours from batching. Water requirement is effectively reduced. Allows highly flowing non-shrink grout mixes to assist penetration into very fine fissures and crevices |

CALGROUT No. 3 is particularly recommended for: Rock-grouting in dam foundations Oil-well cementing Machine foundations Mining and tunnel grouting Sealing cracks in basement walls, etc Sub-pavement grouting, roads and airfields Bridge decking and road-paving All concreting where initial-settlement contraction in formwork must be prevented. |
CALGROUT No. 3b: |
CALGROUT No. 3b is also prepared in modified form and pre-packed in cans. Dose rate is 1 can for each 40kg bag of cement. |

SPECIFICATIONS |
| CALGROUT No. 3 shall be added to cement grout at (100 to 140g) per 40kg bag of cement, prior to adding water.
The grout mix should be used within 1/2 hour of batching, for optimum penetration and void filling action. Water
content to be reduced to minimum for required flow. A water-cement ratio of 0.45 is the maximum recommended. NOTE: Dose rate is not highly critical, and may vary up to 10% from selected rate without severe effects. DO NOT use more than 150g per bag, unless high air-entrainment is desired. |
