Long term protection and preservation of concrete, brick and stonework against weathering, staining or mould decay, without affecting natural texture or appearance. Long term preservation of breathing type exterior paints and asbestos cement sheets in near new condition.

EFFECTS:

Cementaid DRIWAL P6 is a unique calcium reactive, long-life silicone masonary preserver and impregnation, which keeps concrete, brick and stonework looking clean and new. The specially modified silicone chains of DRIWAL P6 chemically bond with calcareous materials in the outer 5mm of surface masonry, and become part of the surface. This greatly extends the effective life of DRIWAL P6 over ordinary silicone treatments. DRIWAL P6 leaves no visible surface film, and so preserves the completely natural appearance of surfaces. The surface can 'breathe' but is water repellent in depth and sterilised against mould, fungus and organic growth staining, as well as preventing leaching and staining by efflouresence. Effective life 7 to 10 years. Typical test - Units of moisture passing per hour, after 100 hours - DRIWAL P6 0.15 (typical figure); untreated - 1.20.

Check small test area first to ensure suitability of colour to DRIWAL P6.

WHERE RECOMMENDED:

All external natural masonry, concrete, brick or rendered surfaces. Asbestos cement roofs and cladding. Exterior concrete surfaces. Primer for all paint work to extend paint life (exterior). Paint primer over 'green' cement where flushing urgent after rendering. For correction of damp walls and other special uses, consult CEMENTAID for many special uses.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR
CHOSEN AREAS:
All surfaces (specify areas) shall be protected against weathering, grime, mould and decay by a single saturation impregnation with calcium-reactive DRIWAL P6 Specification Grade at the rate of not less than one litre per ... sq. m. (here specify area for type of surface to be treated from above table.)
NOTE: One application of DRIWAL P6 only, is usually necessary, due to its unique reactive properties.

SPECIFICATIONS

All exposed exterior surfaces of the building other than metal, wood and glass surfaces and surgaces protected by oil paints, when clean, dry and complete shall be protected against weathering, grime, mould and decay by a single saturating impregnation of CEMENTAID calcium reactive DRIWAL P6. The DRIWAL P6 shall be flooded on from the top downwards witha minimum run down of 20cm by low pressure pump or spray at the minimum rates for various surfaces as stated.
