DIAMITE
Increased abrasion resistance of floor surfaces. Elimination of dust
produced from concrete surfaces. Densified surface for resistance to chemical attack.
EFFECTS: |
DIAMITE Liquid Case Hardener and Dustproofing Compound is a clear, light blue, water based formulation. The active ingredients are a blend of metallic silico flourides, with absorption and penetration agents. Flooded-on to new or old concrete surfaces, DIAMITE is absorbed into the concrete usually to a depth of 3 - 5 mm, where throughout this layer chemical reaction occurs with the free lime to form a dense, synthetic quartz-type material. These are extremely hard, and increase abrasion resistance by 400 - 600%, while preventing further dusting. Chemical resistance, particularly against acids, is also greatly increased. DIAMITE is completely compatible with ROKITE corrosion and stain-resistant impregnations, which may follow the DIAMITE treatment where desired, with adequate time for drying-out before application of ROKITE. NOTE: |
Where DIAMITE is to be used, membrane curing agents should not be applied. Use ponding or water spray. |
WHERE RECOMMENDED: |
All industrial floors, warehouses, car parks, paving subject to high abrasion wear, forklift or foot traffic etc, as well as floors subject to acids or bacterial action. New concrete floors should be at least 2 weeks old and allowed to dry out before a DIAMITE treatment. |
