STANDARD CONSTRUCTION JOINT & SERVICE PENETRATION DETAILS

    Introduction:

    Since effectively no water or dampness will be transmitted through properly compacted Cementaid EVERDURE CALTITE or 3CC SYSTEM concrete, only joints, or other “holes” through Caltite or 3CC structures should need to be sealed against water penetration.

    The following Standard Details have been used in thousands of different Caltite & 3CC System concrete structures both locally and internationally since 1960, and are proven effective, reliable and maintenance-free over this period. They are simple and easy to handle, and can be applied by the concretor / form-worker / plumber or by Cementaid personnel. We recommend that you ask your Cementaid representative to check the detail drawings before tender stage, and to be present on site to assist the Contractor in achieving optimum results and cost savings obtainable when using Caltite or 3CC System membrane-free construction

    THE FOLLOWING CONSTRUCTION JOINT & SERVICE PENETRATION DETAILS FORM PART OF THE EVERDURE CALTITE & 3CC SYSTEMS, and are recommended by Cementaid for use with these concrete waterproofing systems.

    Specification: “All construction joints in, or penetrations through Cementaid Everdure Caltite and / or 3CC System concrete are to be constructed in accordance with the Standard Details supplied by Cementaid (NSW) Pty. Ltd., unless otherwise approved by Cementaid on the working drawings.
